i'm about to go coo coo and taste your cocoa puffs
tonight i saw million dollar baby with Clint "make my day" Eastwood. it was a damn fine flick. i can't get into the details without spoiling it, but boxing really has very little to do with the themes and ideas it explores. Morgan Freeman does a hell of a job and so does Clint (even if he isn't sporting a revolver of unimaginable calibor). this is one of those rear movies that begs you to explore the characters further while walking back the parking lot. i would recommend checking it out and try to avoid learning too much about the plot before hand. (be weary of spoilers in the ensuing comments page).

I agree, good movie. But do you think it was as good as Mystic River?
yeah... i didn't really see mystic river but that damn flick always seems to come up in a conversation about million dollar baby. i might try to rent this river movie, but i've only watched my "i'm gonna git you sucka" DVD twice this year, so i've got bigger fish to fry.
unrelated side note: i got into a big debate with my housemate about which was the best comedy of the 80's. He said Airplane, which is hard to argue against, but i said Animal House or Caddy Shack.
Mystic was also directed by Clint. I think it was better than million dollar baby, but i am crazy. i do know sleazy C will like the movie.
Animal house, hands down.
