the days of yor, which are oft remembered as good, and sometimes even were

As i type this, my most exciting purchase of recent memory is warming up in the living room, and i'm talking about Grand Theft Auto San Andreas for the PS2. Folks, i don't even OWN a PS2, but luckily my housemate does and this game is the Bee's Knees. 'nuff said.

Last night the old drinking line from Tech reassembled in Ann Arbor for a night of drunken reminiscing, mixed with drunken catching up. Notable guests included Rob "break-neck" B, Becky "Nut-Cracker" D. and Kelly "Mistress of the Oak" A. The surprise appearance went to Joe-O from those old lost episodes of Tech: The Marquette Years.

In the end, the lies and the beers flowed as one, although i had to be the first to call it short since my hell-life of a job was lurking just around the sun-rise. Holly now officially met (read: drank with) most of the major players from my college years and i suspect has heard all of the embarrassing, incriminating, and/or demeaning stories of my youth. bravo to her.

finally, i think i've identified one more of the tell-tale signs of old age: when you're old, every gathering you have with your old buddies becomes "an event" or a "reunion" to be orchestrated for maximum enjoyment and not just another thursday night who-ah.

well sucks to that.

It's true, I'm sorry I couldn't be there.
